"Around the turn of the 21st century, humankind plunged into a deep crisis. A moral, social and economic crisis, heralding the end of an era.

More and more people resented how they had to work. As a matter of fact, to make a living, our ancestors had jobs - that is - they traded their time for money. These jobs often took up more than 40 hours per week.

Today, it’s difficult to imagine the power this economical dependence of the workers gave to corporations: it actually gave them the control of their time."

This is how begins "WORKING HOURS". Through the eyes of an observer from the future, this documentary film casts a glance at work issues in the year 2000 and questions our sense of progress.
